Evesham & online across the UK
A quiet, honest space to untangle your thoughts.
Hi, I'm Donna — and welcome to Vale Therapy. Life can get overwhelming, and sometimes you just need somewhere safe and down-to-earth to think things through, without judgement. As a person-centred counsellor, I'm not here to lecture you or tell you how to live your life, because you know yourself best. I'm here to listen, support you with genuine warmth, and walk alongside you at whatever pace feels right.
We can meet face-to-face at my comfortable space in Evesham, or chat online from the comfort of your own home. Wherever you are on your journey, we'll work together to help you find some clarity and feel like yourself again.
About me
Hello, I'm Donna Brush.
Level 4 Person-Centred Counsellor · BACP Registered Member 421301 (MBACP)
As a fully qualified, Level 4 person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel truly heard.
I've lived locally in the Evesham area for many years. Having deep roots in this community, I understand the value of a reliable, down-to-earth local support system when life feels overwhelming. My path into counselling stems from a genuine belief in the human capacity for healing and growth, provided you're given the right environment to do so.
Before establishing Vale Therapy, I gained extensive clinical experience working with a well-respected local charity, where I completed specialised work supporting individuals navigating the complex emotional landscapes of domestic abuse, trauma and control. This experience taught me the true meaning of resilience, and reinforced my commitment to providing a completely non-judgemental, gentle and secure environment for my clients.
In my practice, I don't see you as a set of symptoms or a problem to be solved. I see you as a whole person. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, navigating difficult life transitions, processing past trauma, or simply trying to find your feet again, I'm here to walk alongside you at a pace that feels entirely safe and right for you.
Your first step
What to expect from our first session
Taking the step to attend your first counselling session can feel incredibly daunting. Knowing exactly what to expect can help ease some of that natural anxiety. Our first 50-minute session is all about settling in and seeing how it feels to work together.
-
01
A gentle welcome
We'll start with a warm introduction. If we're meeting in person, you'll find a comfortable, quiet and private room. If we're meeting online, we'll make sure our video connection is secure before we begin.
-
02
The practical basics
We'll spend just a few minutes looking over our working agreement — simply to make sure you feel completely clear about things like confidentiality, session times and data protection.
-
03
Your space, your pace
There's absolutely no pressure to deep-dive into painful topics right away. This hour belongs to you. Share as much or as little as feels comfortable about what's bringing you to therapy.
-
04
No judgements, no expectations
I'm not here to diagnose you, set homework, or tell you how to live your life. My role is to listen with genuine warmth, offer deep empathy, and understand things from your point of view.

05
A mutual decision
At the end of the session, there's no obligation to book further slots on the spot. Take some time to process how you felt — and if you'd like to move forward, we can talk about regular weekly or fortnightly sessions.
Good to know
Frequently asked questions
What happens in a person-centred counselling session?
Our sessions are entirely led by you. There are no worksheets, tests or forced agendas. We'll talk about whatever is on your mind, exploring your feelings in a safe, completely non-judgemental environment.
How many sessions will I need?
Because everyone's journey is unique, there's no set number of weeks. Some clients find clarity in just a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. We'll review how you're feeling regularly so you always remain in control.
How do online sessions work?
Online therapy is just as effective and secure as face-to-face work. I'll email you a private, secure video link before our appointment. All you need is a quiet, confidential space where you won't be interrupted and a stable internet connection.
Is everything we talk about confidential?
Yes, completely. Your privacy is paramount. What you share stays between us, with very rare exceptions regarding your safety or legal requirements, which we'll fully talk through during our very first session.
What are your fees, and how long is a session?
Each standard session lasts 50 minutes (the therapeutic hour). Please get in touch for current rates, introductory session offers, and cancellation policy details.
